PUPPETEER Steve Wright and his creations have made a documentary about one of Britain’s biggest art events.
Steve, owner and creator of The Wright Stuff in Kirkburton, filmed Yorkshire YPPT Youth Council representatives at Get In.
The Arts Council-organised event in Liverpool allowed top names in theatre to share their skills with budding performers.
Steve filmed the experiences of YPPT representatives – including Huddersfield-born Jill Augustine and Lawrence Batley Theatre tutor Lateisha Lovelace-Hanson – for a 20-minute video diary.
Lateisha used to be with the LBT and now sits on the YPPT Youth Council. Jill used to be with Huddersfield Theatretrain.
Photographer Amanda Crowther, from Honley, was the brand and marketing consultant for the event. He designed all the T-shirts, handbooks and banners and was also the event’s official photographer.
Steve and his puppets also interviewed other delegates and key arts figures, including Arts Council chief executive Alan Davey.
Mr Wright said: “It was a tremendous experience seeing young people from all over the country learning a wide ring of skills from a wide range of theatre companies.”
