A NEW guide in plain English has been published for anyone thinking of making a planning application in the Peak District National Park.

More than 10% of Kirklees lies in the park.

The National Park Authority's free handbook gives clear explanations and checklists.

The park's officials deal with more than 1,000 applications a year, making it one of the busiest national park planning authorities.
