THE owners of a Huddersfield mill want to turn it into flats.
Malcolm Steel (Holdings) have asked Kirklees Council for permission to change Waterloo Mill on Wakefield Road into 24 flats.
The building, which now contains a furniture store and a health club and gym, would also have a new three-storey extension at the rear if Kirklees planning chiefs give the move the thumbs-up at a meeting this month.
The building was originally a factory for The Stopper Manufacturing Company, but was converted to retail use more than 20 years ago.
