RESIDENTS of Boscastle were learning today whether experts back their plans to rebuild buildings wrecked in last summer's floods.

The Environment Agency (EA) was publishing the findings of a study into future flood risk in the village on Cornwall's north coast.

Its recommendations will steer planning decisions on how buildings swept away or damaged in the flash floods last August should be reconstructed - if at all.

Richard Horrocks, EA regional flood defence manager, will present the findings to villagers in person this afternoon.
