PLANS have been submitted to revamp a health centre in Holmfirth.
Kirklees Council planners have been asked to give permission for extensions and internal changes at the Elmwood Health Centre, off Huddersfield Road.
The building originally housed two GP practices but now is home to only one.
The proposals are said to be necessary to bring the building up to current NHS standards.
Developers want to create a first-floor extension, move the existing pharmacy to another part of the building and create new rooms for patients.
The main entrance will be moved to 90 deg of where it is at the moment and there will also be a new lift to provide access to the enhanced first floor.
Medical staff hope they can increase the number of services offered in the centre once the work is completed.
