TWO Brighouse planning appeals have been dismissed.
Plans for a four bedroomed, detached house with double garage and a plan for a dormer loft conversion have been turned down by Government planning inspectors.
Mr N Birkby appealed to the Planning Inspectorate after Calderdale Council refused him permission to build the house next to Clog Sole Road last September.
The inspector expressed concern about how the house would affect traffic from Clog Sole Road, an unadopted cul-de- sac, on busy Halifax Road.
He said the plans would significantly increase traffic at a seriously sub-standard junction, harming the free flow of traffic on Halifax Road.
John Whittington appealed against Calderdale's decision to reject his plans for a dormer loft conversion at Newton Park, Hove Edge, last July.
But the inspector said the size and type of the extension would be "intrusive".
It also failed to respect the surroundings.
