HEATHERS and grasses will be among moorland plants on sale at a National Trust plant sale in May.

A wide range of other plants will also be available to the public at the sale on Sunday May 15 to support the Trust's Marsden Moor Estate.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the gift of Marsden Moor to the National Trust from the Radcliffe Family.

Plant sales are the single most important source of income for the Marsden Moor Estate and are vital for continuing conservation work.

The Trust would be delighted to receive donations of perennials, in particular less common ones, for growing on for the sale or for sales later in the year.

Anyone who can help with growing or tending plants before the sale are asked to get in touch.
