SOCCER player Chris Holland was fined £220 with £35 court costs by Rochdale magistrates for driving without insurance.

The former midfielder for Huddersfield Town, now with Boston United, Holland also had six penalty points added to his licence.

Holland, 29, of Aintree Drive, Lower Darwen, Lancashire, pictured in his Town days, had driven his girlfriend's Peugeot on the M62 at Heywood without insurance, believing that his own comprehensive insurance covered him.
