DO not be deceived by the name!
The Cemetery Club, the latest play by Honley Players, is actually a life-affirming affair.
Ivan Menchell's play centres on a group of Jewish widows who meet once a month for tea before visiting their husbands' graves.
Much of the action takes place in the home of Ida, one of the Jewish widows.
But as the storyline suggests, the ladies also make frequent visits to the cemetery.

The play opened at the Southgate Theatre on Wednesday and runs each evening until tomorrow at 7.30pm.
It is directed by Dennis Thewlins.
Tickets are available from Karridays Newsagents in Honley from 9am to 1pm or by phoning 01484 662378 evenings.
