A 23-YEAR-OLD man is in hospital after being stabbed in Birstall.
He was attacked in the Branwell Avenue area between 11pm on Christmas Eve and 2.30am on Christmas Day.
He was stabbed in the abdomen and was taken to Dewsbury District Hospital, where his condition has been described as stable. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Dewsbury police are appealing for witnesses to the attack.
