A PROJECT to recycle old mobile phones has been launched.

Voluntary agency Chas Housing Aid Kirklees wants people to hand over redundant phones.

Chas manages the Kirklees Bond Bank which helps homeless people by providing a bond to rent a property.

Bill Durrant, of the Kirklees Bond Bank team said: "Many mobiles will become obsolete after Christmas. We hope that people will donate them to our worthy cause."

Phones can be dropped off at the receptions for Chas Housing Aid in either Standard House, Half Moon Street, Huddersfield or Empire House, Wakefield Old Road, Dewsbury.
