POLICE investigating a robbery which left a woman with serious facial injuries have arrested a man.

But they have app- ealed for a potential witness to come forward.

The 52-year-old victim was unlocking the Break Time cafe on Lower Fitzwilliam Street, Huddersfield, near Leeds Road, at 5.45am last Thursday when she was attacked.

A bag of cash was stolen and she suffered a broken nose, bruised face and jaw, and a bruise above a hip.

A 39-year-old Bradley man was arrested and bailed until September 7.

Pc Dave McSweeney, of Huddersfield police, said: "We are trying to trace a woman, who is a regular customer, who said `good morning' to the victim just moments before the attack."
