FUN runners are urged to get on their marks for a charity half-marathon.

The Forget Me Not Trust Children’s Hospice is staging the half-marathon on Sunday to coincide with the hand-over of the keys to the charity’s £2.5m facility at Brackenhall.

The fundraising run, sponsored by car dealer Polar Ford, will help towards the cost of new equipment as well as supporting patient care.

The half-marathon will start at St Thomas’ Road and takes a challenging route out of town with breathtaking views of Huddersfield and the surrounding countryside.

For those who don’t fancy running 13 miles, the charity is also encouraging corporate relay teams of six – with participants completing just over two miles each.

Entry costs £25 per person, with corporate teams of six costing £100. For entry details go to: http://www.prohms.com/entry-form.pdf or email fundraising@forgetmenottrust.co.uk
