POLICE have made a new appeal to trap two muggers who attacked a schoolboy in Thornton Lodge.

The 15-year old was robbed on Manchester Road near the junction with Blackmoorfoot Road.

The incident happened at 4.10pm on Monday, November 21, when the boy was stopped by two men in their late teens or early 20s.

They snatched his wallet from his pockets then demanded his mobile phone.

The boy managed to break away from the suspects and call the police.

Both men were Asian. One was about 6ft 2ins tall, muscular with short black curly hair, a beard and a big nose. He was wearing a light blue jumper and black tracksuit bottoms.

The second suspect was about 5ft 11ins tall, with a small goatee beard and was wearing a black tracksuit top and black bottoms.
