Police have been called to an incident in Paddock .
Officers responded to calls that a man had been hurt in an incident in Church Street shortly after 5.30pm.
A number of officers were called to the scene and an ambulance was also called.
Police confirmed a man had been injured.
They said initial reports suggested he had been stabbed but that was not believed to be the case.
Church Street is the main road which runs up towards the centre of Paddock from Longroyd Bridge.
