POLICE have charged four men with public order offences after making a string of arrests in dawn raids yesterday.

British Transport Police swooped at the homes of 10 suspected soccer hooligans around Kirklees.

Six men aged between 16 and 35 were arrested in connection with a fight at Leeds train station on February 21 between Huddersfield Town and Leeds United supporters.

Officers were also looking for evidence linked to an incident on December 13 when a train full of Bradford City supporters was attacked with stones and bottles in Halifax.

The four charged were aged between 18 and 32. Another man was released on police bail pending further inquiries. The remaining man was released without charge.

Det Sgt Dave Boldison, who led the raids, said investigations would be going on to track down other culprits from Huddersfield involved in football violence.
