POLICE working out of a temporary office can still be contacted – even though they have no phones or computers in there yet.
Lindley Neighbourhood Policing Team moved into temporary offices after Oakes police station closed.
The officers are now based in a portable building at Sykes’s Mill opposite Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
Team member Sgt Mick Semenczuk said that people can phone 01484 436698 and leave messages for the officers which are regularly picked up.
Alternatively they can email officers and all the email addresses are on the NPT section of the West Yorkshire police station.
The website is www.westyorkshire.police.uk
Emails are picked up when officers go to other police stations.
The computers and phones are due to be installed early next month.
