Police today thanked the public for their help into the investigation into a man’s death.

The man is thought to have collapsed in Bradford Road, Batley, after being taken ill and sadly died.

The incident happed on Tuesday afternoon and police were anxious to trace a number of people who stopped to try and help the man.

Det Insp Mark Colman, of Huddersfield CID, said: “We have received a number of calls from people who were in the area and would like to thank them for coming forward”.

There are no suspicious circumstances.
