A man tried to force a woman into a car during a terrifying attempted abduction in New Mill yesterday.
The man had driven a vehicle along Fulstone Hall Lane yesterday afternoon when he approached the woman who was walking along the rural roadside.
He then tried to force her into the car but she managed to get away.
She was shaken but uninjured in the incident and contacted police.
Detectives are now investigating and the scene remains cordoned off this morning.
