A file will now be passed to the West Yorkshire Coroner’s office in Bradford and an inquest will be opened and adjourned shortly.

Police were called when residents living on a house boat saw a body in the water.

In recent months there have been several waterways tragedies in Kirklees.

In March alone four bodies were pulled from rivers and canals in less than a month.
