POLICE have appealed for help in catching a burglar who struck in Newsome.
The man was chased by police after they were called to the break-in in Occupation Road at 4.10pm on Wednesday but he disappeared in woods off Lawton Street, Primrose Hill.
The man was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms.
He had burgled the house through French doors and stole a Samsung TV, an Xbox and a Blu-ray player.
The TV was later found in the woods.
