Police are investigating a bizarre assault in Dewsbury.

A Kirklees College student was approached by a man and had his his shirt top lifted up.

Now police have appealed for witnesses.

The assault happened outside Kirklees College in Halifax Road, on Thursday, April 21.

Between 8.10am and 8.15am, the 18-year-old male victim was approached by a man on Halifax Road. He engaged him in conversation before lifting up his top against the victim’s will.

The man is described as white, in his 40s, approximately 6ft tall, of medium build, with a thin face, curly grey hair and a beard. He was wearing grey jeans, t-shirt, a blue and brown coloured zip-up jacket and brown builder-style boots.

PC Nicola Thompson, of Kirklees Adult Safeguarding Unit, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or who has information about the identity of the man involved.

“Anyone with information is asked to call the Kirklees Adult Safeguarding Unit via 101.”
