A HUDDERSFIELD bar could face a licensing hearing.

Police and Kirklees Council officials have confirmed they are investigating allegations about That Bar.

The bar, in King Street, was formerly known as Bar Rouge.

The allegations include breaches of the bar’s licence and problems with CCTV.

Sgt Mandy Mellor, of Huddersfield Police, said: “We are investigating a number of allegations regarding licensing issues.

“We are liaising with council licensing officers and with the bar management.”

Police are also probing claims that an off-licence in Longroyd Bridge has been selling alcohol to children.

The inquiry is being run with officers of West Yorkshire Trading Standards.

It is understood the officers used teenagers to buy alcohol from the shop.
