A WOMAN has been found dead at a house in Milnsbridge.
Police were called to the home on Dowker Street, near Milnsbridge Police Station, at 5pm yesterday.
They found the body of a 25-year-old woman inside.
Detectives confir- med this morning that two men had been arrested in connection with the woman's death.
The men, aged 24 and 27, were being questioned at Huddersfield Police Station today.
A police spokes- woman said: "Scenes of crimes experts attended the property and carried out a forensic examination.
"A post-mortem will be carried out today and the coroner has been informed."
She said the woman came from Birmingham, but had not yet been named.
A woman who has lived on Dowker Street for more than 10 years said police had closed off the road.
"It was about teatime when I heard the sirens," said the woman, who asked not to be named. "First there was an ambulance and then a few police cars came.
"After that there were police vans and more officers.
"They closed the end of the road off for a while.
"Nobody has said anything at all so we don't know what happened.
"At first we thought the ambulance might be for an elderly person, but when all the police came we realised it was something more. I know who lived there, but I don't know their names."
