A FURTHER appeal for witnesses to an assault in Huddersfield town centre has been made by police.

They are asking people to contact them if they recognise two men in this CCTV image.

The assault took place at around 3.340am on November 25 at the junction of Cross Church Street and Kirkgate.

A 17-year old boy had been on a night out with friends but had left them to get a taxi.

As he got to the junction of Cross Church Street and Kirkgate he was attacked by three men and robbed of his wallet and £30 in cash. He needed treatment for injuries to his face.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and any witnesses or anyone with information, as well as anyone who recognises the men shown on the left, is asked to contact Detective Constable Peter Usher at Huddersfield CID via 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
