Police are appealing for help in tracking down a woman seen in distress in Ravensthorpe.

She was seen arguing with three men who were in a dark-coloured saloon car on Huddersfield Road at 3am on Friday.

The woman, who was called ‘Safina’ by one of the men, then left with them in the car.

The encounter took place near the Ravensthorpe Gyratory.

Police are appealing to the public for information so they can make contact with the woman to check she is OK.

She was described as 5ft 5ins and slim with red/brown hair.

She was wearing a blue Adidas jacket, blue jeans and white sandals.

Det Insp Mark Colman from Huddersfield CID, said: “We have been conducting enquiries into this report today and would like to speak to this lady to make sure she is all right.”

He thinks the woman knew the men.

The woman or anyone who can help identify her should contact Kirklees CID on 101 referencing log number 178 of 19 August.
