POLICE have searched land at Newsome in the hunt for a missing Huddersfield man.
But they found no trace of 84-year-old Bernard Hallas, who has now been missing for two weeks.
Yesterday’s search saw officers from the Huddersfield South Neighbourhood Policing Team search fields and woodland between Newsome and Taylor Hill.
It was the latest in a series of searches for Mr Hallas, who was last seen on the evening of Tuesday December 18.
Mr Hallas lives alone in Bradley but is known to have links with the Newsome area.
He vanished after catching a bus to Marsden and back into Huddersfield bus station. It is thought he then walked away down High Street and Ramsden Street.
Mr Hallas, who suffers from a severe medical condition, was captured on CCTV on a bus in his pyjamas, hat, coat and shoes.
The CCTV shows Mr Hallas leaving the bus at 8.38pm on Tuesday December 18 in Huddersfield Bus Station.
Mr Hallas is described as white, around 5ft 5ins tall, frail and with wispy grey hair.
He was wearing blue check pyjamas, a brown sheepskin coat, a brown hat and black shoes.
Anyone with information about his disappearance or whereabouts is asked to call 999 immediately.
