A BIG police operation prevented violence at Huddersfield Town's high- profile game against Barnsley. Hundreds of officers were involved in the operation throughout Huddersfield on Saturday. Some Barnsley fans are believed to have got off a train in Lockwood. Police escorted them from the Red Lion pub on Lockwood Road at lunchtime. There was only a handful of arrests. Town won the match 1-0, in a big boost to their promotion hopes.
