POLICE are hunting robbers who struck a man around the head with a bat and stole cash and a bank card.

The raiders attacked the man early yesterday in Springfield Avenue, Batley.

The victim was hit from behind then struck again after he fell to the ground.

The robbers searched his pockets and stole the cash and his card. The attack happened between 2.50am and 3.30am.

The attackers made off in a dark coloured Audi A4 in the direction of Mayman Lane.

The first man is described as Asian, in his late 20s, 5ft 9in tall and of stocky build.

He had short, black curly hair and a wide nose that looked like it had been broken in the past.

He was wearing black jeans and a black jacket with the NAF NAF logo on the right hand side of the chest. The jacket was also ripped.

The second man is also Asian, 35-36 years, 5ft 5in tall and of stocky build. He had short, straight dark hair and wore blue jeans and a dark blue jumper with a bird type logo on the upper right chest.
