A POLISH factory worker killed himself falling from a bridge, an inquest heard yesterday.

Jacek Kwasniewski, 22, of Brook Street, Cleckheaton, was found dead at Harry Mann Dam in May.

Colleagues of Mr Kwasniewski at Parkam Chilled Foods, Bradford, said he been struggling to pay off debts and had regularly asked for extra shifts.

A fellow employee said that Mr Kwasniewski, who was born in Paczkow, Poland, had been drinking heavily and smelled of alcohol when he collected him for his shift.

The inquest heard that death was due to head injuries.

Recording his verdict, coroner Roger Whittaker, said Mr Kwasniewski had taken his own life.
