POP star Nikk Mager has told how he was bullied at school because of his acne.

The 20-year-old from Greetland - a singer with boy band Phixx - said he had been badly affected by the verbal abuse.

Speaking at the launch of the anti-bullying website www.bbclic.com, he said: "I had a bad case of acne when I was at school and I couldn't prevent it at the time. I used to get called names like 'pizza face' and 'crater face'.

"At that age it just crushed my confidence completely."

The interactive website, containing video and audio clips, was launched by the children's charity beatbullying.

Glamour girl Jodie Marsh told the launch how her preference for skimpy outfits was a cover-up for insecurities caused by school bullying.

The 25-year-old suffered verbal and physical abuse at her private girls' school which left her suicidal.

Jodie added: "Most of it is actually a cover-up and a front for the person I am inside. Of course I am not that confident and I am not that forward.

"My big hair and my big make-up and skimpy outfits make me feel better about myself."

Jodie was bullied from the ages of 11 to 17 while at Brentwood School in Essex.

She told how she was picked on because of her good grades and the fact that she broke her nose while playing hockey at the age of nine.

She said: "I was bullied really, really horrendously, to the point where I did want to kill myself."

Jodie added: "I think if I wear the most outrageous outfit I can and walk into a room, it is me making everybody look at me.

"Whereas if I dress normally and walk into a room and people look at me, I feel like I'm at school again, being bullied.

"That is the scar from bullying. You feel like you can't handle walking into a room and people looking at you."
