RESIDENTS at a care home donned their posh frocks for a charity garden party.
Staff at Paddock Lodge organised the event to raise money for the residents so they can take them out on day trips and activity days more often.
The care home’s grounds in Church Street, Paddock, were filled with relatives and friends of the residents.
Entertainment came from Halifax singer Ken Lee, but there was face painting, stalls, raffles, a bouncy castle and a dancing exhibition to enjoy too.
Donna Chilvers has been working at the home for a year.
She said: “We are all very excited, both staff and residents. Everyone has been rallying round to help out, so it has been great fun.
“The residents were particularly excited to see Ken Lee.
“He is a regular here at Paddock Lodge and has always proved very popular with them.”
