A POWER cut posed problems for shopkeepers in Fartown.
The supplies were cut at 9.15am yesterday and that brought business to a halt at several shops in Bradford Road.
They included hairdressing businesses run by Benoit Amani and Lyn Radley.
Lyn, of Ros Hair and Beauty Salon, said: “We had customers who were in the shop but we could do nothing as everything depends on electricity, even the water heater”.
Other businesses affected included a computer store and a mini market.
A spokesman for Northern Power Grid said there had been a fault on a local circuit which had cut supplies to a handful of properties for about two hours.
