PEOPLE who have stayed in hospital in Yorkshire say they are happy with the care they receive, according to a Care Quality Commission survey out today.

The patients in the region had extra praise for the quality of nursing care they received as well as the way they were treated when undergoing operations.

NHS Yorkshire and the Humber’s chief nurse, Sue Proctor said: “It is fantastic to hear that patients are pleased with the care they are receiving.”

The poll surveyed more than 6,000 patients from across the region that had stayed in hospital for at least one night in 2008.
