A pregnant woman was left trapped in her flat after attempting to move an old TV set.
The 20-year-old was rescued by firefighters after the giant tube TV fell down the stairs blocking her front door.
The bizarre incident took place at a maisonette on Pottery Street, Salendine Nook, at around 1.45pm on Saturday.
It was attended by one fire crew from Huddersfield who climbed in through a window and shifted the broken TV.
One firefighter said: “I think she was trying to move it about and it must have rolled down the stairs.
“It was an enormous TV.
“I have to say that’s the first ‘trapped by telly’ incident we’ve had to deal with.”
