A documentary featuring Huddersfield eccentric Jake Mangel Wurzel was a sell-out – and there will now be another screening this week.

Film-maker Michelle Heighway made the film Mr Somebody? about Jake who lives a reclusive life with his dogs in a makeshift home in Lindley Moor.

The film premiered at the Sheffield International Documentary Festival on Saturday – and all 120 seats were taken with people queuing at reception unable to get in.

Thursday’s screening will be at the Showroom Theatre opposite the railway station in Sheffield city centre at 3.30pm.

Michelle said: “There are 300 places at Thursday’s screening so hopefully everyone will get in and Jake will also hold a question and answer session as he did on Saturday.

“Then he went through the whole range of emotions from being sad to excitable and was very expressive as he answered questions from what he thought about an after-life to being a blood donor. He was extremely talkative. Some people who attended were big fans of Jake and regard him as a legend.”

Tickets are available on the door or by calling 0114 2757727.
