Prisoners at one of the country's toughest jails are organising "fight clubs" to settle debts between inmates, it was revealed today. Chief Inspector of Prisons Anne Owers warned that levels of violence and bullying at Full Sutton high-security jail near York remained "high". Reporting after an unannounced visit to the 600-inmate jail, she said: "Security searches of prisoners' cells revealed evidence that `fight clubs' were being organised, usually to pay off debts."
