THE Aspley pub is Top of the Pots.
The pub, at St Andrews Road, Aspley, achieved an excellent score in an award scheme that measures standards in the kitchen.
The Kitchens of Excellence awards are run by Brewers Fayre, which owns the Aspley.
It rates all the 248 pubs in the nationwide chain.
Every aspect of food handing and preparation is carefully scrutinised and graded by a team of auditors.
Pub manager Duncan Goodison said: "I am thrilled that we have achieved such a high score.
"It is a credit to all our team members who have worked hard to maintain the highest standards throughout the kitchen.
"Our kitchen teams are often the unsung heroes of the restaurant and this award recognises their achievement."
