LEADING Huddersfield nursery products firm Mamas and Papas has chosen its Midwife of the Year.
Angela Hewett, who works at St James's Hospital, Leeds, was awarded the title by the Royal College of Midwives at a ceremony at Mamas and Papas' Colne Bridge HQ.
She was nominated by patient Sarah Young, of Leeds, for going above and beyond the call of duty.
Angela received £1,000 for the midwifery unit at St James' and £1,000 personal cash.
Sarah also won £1,000.
