SUE HALL has returned to home ground to take up the role of Chief Officer for West Yorkshire Probation.
She was Deputy Chief Officer in the county from 2000 to February last year, when she left to become Chief Officer for South Wales Probation.
Now she has returned following the appointment of Paul Wilson, West Yorkshire's previous Chief Officer, to the new role of Regional Offender Manager for Yorkshire and the Humber last year.
Mrs Hall said: "I have really enjoyed working in South Wales.
"I found it valuable to experience the different approach to Probation work in a Welsh context.
"However, I am delighted to be returning to West Yorkshire, as I have my home in the region.
"West Yorkshire Probation has a very high reputation nationally for its performance and I intend to build on the success the service has attained in the last few years."
Mrs Hall's husband works for the Children and Family Courts Advisory and Support Service in Grimsby. Their two sons are at university.
