ARTISTS will show their work at a village exhibition next month.

This year’s Shelley Biennial Art Exhibition features more than 40 amateur artists alongside professional painter Paul Curtis and Holmfirth potter Sue Jenkins.

Curtis is known for his contemporary impressionism while Jenkins core work is one-off quirky animal models.

All the exhibitors will be selling their paintings, sculptures, textiles, metalwork and jewellery.

The two-day event is on May 14 from 7 to 9pm and May 15 from 11am to 6pm at the Emmanuel Church, Huddersfield Road, Shelley. Entry is £3.50 on the Friday (inc glass of wine) and £2 on the Saturday.
