A PROGRAMME from the only FA Cup final won by Huddersfield Town sold for £1,195 at auction.

The folded and torn programme was sold at Christie's saleroom in London.

Town scored a 1-0 victory over Preston North End in the 1922 final at Stamford Bridge, London.

It was the last to be played before FA Cup finals were switched to Wembley.

Experts had predicted the programme might go for between £800 and £1,200.

A second programme, from the 1928 Town v Blackburn Rovers final, went for just £406 at the same sale.

An unofficial programme for the 1938 final involving Town and Preston failed to sell at the auction.
