A FIFTH bomber could have been meant to join the July 7 terror gang.

Terrorist chief Peter Clarke revealed that two more viable, peroxide explosive devices had been found under the front passenger seat of the bombers' Micra, parked at Luton.

That has led to speculation that there was at least one other bomber who failed to turn up for the mission, although police insisted there was no evidence to support this theory.

"We do not know what these were intended for," Mr Clarke said. "Of course It is of real concern that there were more explosives in the possession of these people."

In the back of the vehicle, officers found cool boxes which the bombers used to keep their devices cold during transportation.
