A JUDGE was today continuing to sum up evidence in the trial of a man accused of murdering five prostitutes.

Mr Justice Gross read through statements and facts heard during the case against Steve Wright at Ipswich Crown Court. Wright, 49, of Ipswich, Suffolk, denies murdering Gemma Adams, 25, Tania Nicol, 19, Anneli Alderton, 24, Paula Clennell, 24, and Annette Nicholls, 29.

Their naked bodies were found dumped at isolated spots on the edge of Ipswich between December 2 and December 12 2006. Miss Alderton, the mother of a young boy, used to live in Huddersfield. Mr Justice Gross told the jury they must cast aside any “sympathies”.
