PENSION fund managers were confronted by angry protestors in Huddersfield.

Members of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund, which looks after the pensions of many thousands of former council workers, face a noisy demonstration.

They were at the Galpharm Stadium to hold the annual meeting of the West Yorkshire Pension Fund. The demonstration came from trades union members and people angry that pension funds invest in defence contractor BAE systems.

Bruce Barnes, a member of Amicus and one of the protestors, said: “We wanted to let fund members know the feeling against the investment.”
