THE future of a popular Holme Valley recreation spot is to be debated at a public meeting tomorrow.
After decades of uncertainty about who owns it, Cliff Quarry near Holmfirth has now been signed over to a new local land charity run by members of Holme Valley Parish Council.
The controversial charity, the Graveship of Holme, has secured the land rights to 26 former stone quarries in the Holme Valley area and is currently in the process of deciding what to do with them.
Some have already been sold at auction and now the future of Cliff Quarry is under the spotlight.
Members of the public will be allowed to speak for five minutes to put forward their opinions on what should be done to the site.
The meeting is at Wooldale Community Centre on Robert Lane, Wooldale, tomorrow.
To register to speak please arrive at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.
