THE new Shaws range got the thumbs-up from children at Scapegoat Hill Junior and Infant School.

They tried Pennine Clear. The water is from the company's own natural spring and comes in flavours including Apple and Cinnamon and Rhubarb and Rose.

Scapegoat Hill school is high on the Pennine hills, where Ben Shaws has its source.

Pupils also tried the firm's pop drinks - which are also made with the spring water.

Dandelion and Burdock, Cloudy Lemonade, Iron Brew, Ginger Beer and Shandy went down well with the kids.

But they had special praise for the healthier water option.

Sophie Foster, 10, tried the Apple and Cinnamon water.

She said: "I drink water at home. I have had flavoured waters before but this apple one was really nice."

Ginger Beer and Iron Brew were particular favourites.

Elliott Rashley, eight, said: "I like the ginger beer. I have had it before but it was not as nice as this one."

Nicholas Rogers, eight, said: "I like the iron brew. It is very nice. It's the first time I've had it."

Eve Setford, eight, liked the Dandelion and Burdock best.

She said: "I like dandelion and burdock. It is my favourite."

Ben Shaws fizzy drinks and water have now been re-branded Ben Shaws Pennine to mark the revamp.
