A WEST End star put students in Huddersfield through their places at the weekend with a special one-off dance lesson.
The group of students at Stagecoach Theatre Arts School, based at Huddersfield Technical College, spent the day on Saturday working with top professional performer Marc Small.
Marc has recently starred in the hit West End musical Daddy Cool, where he performed alongside rapper Harvey of so Solid Crew.
He has also appeared in a number of TV programmes, including The Bill and Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights.
The children, who were all aged between 11 and 16, were taught a variety of different dance techniques by Marc, including rapping, free-styling, and recreating the ‘MC Battle’, a dance that was featured in ‘Daddy Cool.’
Ruth Marston, school principal, said: “All the students involved in the workshop had a great time working with Marc and getting a slight glimpse into the showbiz lifestyle.
“It was a fantastic opportunity for the students to learn new skills and to receive them first-hand from a professional.”
