TWO Nigerian educators have visited Lindley CE Infant School.

They have spent nine days in Huddersfield as part of a new partnership between the school and the Glisten International Academy in the capital, Abuja.

The partnership has been organised through a grant from the British Council’s Global Schools Partnership.

Children in Lindley will be emailing Nigerian students and the staff are sharing educational philosophy, culture and learning styles.

The visit was part of a three-year learning partnership between the schools. Two Lindley teachers will be visiting Abuja next year.

Headteacher Sue Drake said the visit had been extremely successful.

“They have been so generous with their time and their advice and have particular enjoyed trying fish and chips and Yorkshire pudding for the first time,” she said.
