A WOMAN from Leeds who conceived identical quads while she was on the "mini-pill" said today she is angry because she was not told to change her contraception.

Soheyla Zolfaghary said she could not believe it when she went for a scan at St James's Hospital, in Leeds, and found she was pregnant with four babies.

Ms Zolfaghary already has a seven-month-old son, Zachary, and, like millions of other mothers, had been advised to take the so-called mini pill while she was breastfeeding him.

But she said no medical staff told her to move to another type of pill once she had stopped breastfeeding.

Mrs Zolfaghary said: "I am angry about not being told. I think they just expected me to know. I was never informed of that."

Ms Zolfaghary, 24, and her partner Matthew Owens, 32, told of their shock when they were told the news.

Mr Owens said: "It was like a bolt out of the blue. One, yes, not four. You just do not expect it."
